Dear teachers and team members:

It has been a wonderful ride the past 6.5 years. We opened on September 5, 2011 and I've decided it's time for me to move on. We've made some wonderful memories and developed some amazing practices along the way. Many have learned to heal their bodies, minds and spirits through the practices we have offered. You all should be very proud of your contributions along the way. THANK YOU FOR ALL YOU'VE DONE FOR KRAMA AND THE COMMUNITY!

I'll tell you why I decided to close Krama Yoga Center. I've thought long and hard about this and initially, I wanted to carry on by finding a new space, but my broker and I have been actively looking all over town for around 6 months and the last handful of spots that I wanted to settle into just didn't work out for one reason or another.

As of last night, I was looking at two wonderful locations further south (Forest/Preston and Preston/635) because I have exhausted all great locations up north closer to the current studio. And since I'm down to the last week of the current lease, I am feeling pressure to find a space and sign a new lease. After a long and deep meditation last night around midnight, it is clear to me that it doesn't feel right to sign a new lease under stress, so I'm going to follow my heart. I'm going to close the studio and pursue a yoga training company, probably out of my house (I plan on moving this summer).

I'm going to announce this to the community via email and blog pose as well, but not until you all know what's going on because they will ask you questions. Please do not say anything to ANYONE yet! LET ME SEND OUT THE MASS EMAIL FIRST.

We are closing the studio at the end of April. After we close, I will finish the current teacher training in May, and I will continue to work with private clients throughout the summer. I may offer workshops here and there if suitable hosts step up.

My intention is to buy a house with a great view of water and/or nature and big enough space for group practice.. and adequate parking of course! I have zoning issues to consider. I want it to be centrally located in Dallas (inside loop 635).

My goal will be to support the greater yoga community with teacher trainings and workshops and help raise the bar for all of DFW yoga. I will also be taking my teachings back on the road and hope some of you decide to travel with me!

For those who would like to practice with me on a regular basis, I will be offering online follow the leader classes, and those who want to go deeper may join me in teacher trainings. And I will offer those follow the leader classes at my home as well.

If you have any questions, please use the comments section below.

With lots of love and gratitude,

Ricky Tran
